Adelaide Adult ADHD - who we are

Adelaide Adult ADHD was established as this website, in March 2022, by 3 Adelaide women with lived experiences of being diagnosed with ADHD as an adult, living with adults who have ADHD, and raising children who have ADHD.

The impetus for the website came from discussions between one of the project members and her diagnosing psychiatrist, when the lack of accessible, targeted information and support in Adelaide for adult-diagnosed ADHD was identified.

There are many social media and other online platforms catering to ADHD generally, and a smaller number catering to ADHD in adults. While these fulfil a particular purpose, they can be limited in their ability to offer easy access to information/resources and to provide a space for genuine community collaboration and support. Adelaide Adult ADHD hopes to be a useful addition to these existing resources and supports for the adult ADHD community.

Adelaide Adult ADHD is not a formal or registered organisation.
All costs of managing the website and community are borne by the project members.
Adelaide Adult ADHD is managed by volunteers in addition to their professional and personal responsibilities.
